colomtncouture @victoriab045 it can be used for a variety of things. For example, it can be used to set a drink glass or pitcher on to keep condensation from getting on a counter, can be used to set cooking utensils on to protect the counter, or can be used to set a hot pot or dish on to keep it from scarring the counter. They aren’t used as much now that so many people have stone countertops but I remember my parents using trivets back when we had laminate. Or, just decoration.
