skoepfle Hi! I was the women's division manager at JCP and a good way to gage size with petites is it is generally a one size up from misses and will be around 2-3" shorter in length :)

shoret411 @read247 I'm 4'11 and come from a very "petite" family and def appreciate this! I really want to open my own clothing store for petite and plus size that is TRENDY!! And also lower budget.. department stores petite sections are awful and geared towards 70 yr women lol I'm 30 and have always just dealt with it or buy things my straps can be fixed.. (otherwise you have to go to like Ann Taylor Petite or somewhere expensive w/still very limited selection) and same w/plus size.. it's not always as trendy and it costs more! I felt bad working in juniors dept when young teens couldn't fit in juniors w/their friends and had to pay more money in another dept. Then there are petite woman who are also plus size which is impossible to find!! When pant sizes go up, so does the length!!

hopesparkles If the item has a P next to the size number it usually works. I bought some non petite Miss Me jeans and had to get them altered. I'll have to measure the inseam to see what it is. 📏

lakeforest Hi Helen! I'm 5'6"-7", but have a very long torso & a long rise so I've got short legs, lol. A 27-28" inseam on me fits like a regular length vs. ankle length. With any pants a higher waisted style works best on me to accommodate my rise. I often will look for pants that state for example a "10 short" vs. "10P" bc the rise stays the same but the length is shorter. It's not so much about height but rather one's body proportions.😘

lakeforest I know many gals who are well under 5'4" however they're short waisted & all legs and can take a 30" inseam easily. I've always had problems w/pant fit bc I'm so darn long waisted! Years ago, a family tailor told my Mom about my proportions which explained my challenges😬Anyway have a great holiday & happy New Year to you!😘🎉💝☃️
