PETER WONG Born in 1953, Wong lives in California and Taiwan, China. His paintings of Chinese scenes have been shown in the top American and Chinese galleries. Wong's boats, while seemingly monochromatic, are quite vivid. The two most recent public auctions of his Chinese-styled oils, listed with his signature at askart.com, brought $500 (Susanin's Auction House 2/2014) and $345 (Frank Boos Gallery 4/2003). The ten years between public sales shows how people hold on to this artist's work. Wong did sell some at lower prices during these years but they were all watercolors rather than oils.
