Stunning modernist Pentti Sarpaneva European 830 Sterling Silver Lace Candle Holder, circa 1969. Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-1978) was a Finnish designer of unique and lovely silver and jewelry.  This "Lace" candle holder is stamped with the hallmark 830H and the date code Q7(1969), base is impressed P Sarpaneva and ALP (Alpaca). Measures 4” high x 2 3/4” diameter and weighs approximately 3.9 ounces (112 grams) and is in great condition free of dents or losses normal for the era. A wonderful addition to any home or silver collection! This piece is from my late mother's estate and I need her things gone.
