ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy I had to go to New York. My younger brother is going blind 😢 He had a stroke in his left eye 17 years ago that left him pretty much blind in that eye except for a small pinhole of vision. He adapted all these years with the vision he had in one eye. Well, he started losing vision in his other eye. He freaked out and ran to the eye specialist and unfortunately he found out that had a stroke in that eye now. It’s called ischemic optic neuropathy.

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy So basically every day he looses vision in small since he and his girlfriend broke up last year after 7 years. My heart is breaking. I’m so worried about him and he has even talked about “not being able to want to live in this world like this”

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy I’m hoping to be able to be here for him to support him in any way I can while I’m here and to help taking him to all of his doctors appointments and such. He’s only 55 years old 😢 Please pray for my brother Charlie, he is the most beautiful man who has always been so selfless. He doesn’t deserve this.

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy Hi sweetie I’m so sorry I haven’t updated you It’s been so stressful with me being in New York with my brother and then on top of everything my husband got a bad infection in his foot and he ended up having to go in the hospital He was doing better when he left the hospital ans now the infection is back 🤦🏻‍♀️😳

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassyHe went to the infectious disease doctor yesterday and they have to put him back on intravenous antibiotics again They are trying to set up an infusion company to come to the house so he doesn’t have to go back to the hospital Ughhh Meanwhile my brother has been an emotional wreck. So afraid if possibly losing all of his eyesight We are actually at the eye specialist now for a 3 week follow up and I am praying his vision loss has not changed

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy It’s been a whirlwind of emotions I’m actually flying home back to Florida tonight at 5pm I begged my brother to come home with me but he wants to keep following up with this eye specialist and all his other doctors and also his 3 sons live here. Im so torn, I don’t want to leave him but I have to get back home <so stressed 😩

saucyandsassy @ginasgems4you I seriously mean it when I say “You poor thing.” The stress can be unbearable when you take on this kind of responsibility. You’ve been such a valuable help to your brother but I’m sure he realizes that you have your own life, set up elsewhere, that you must get back to. I find that the concept of Yin and Yang comes into play; someone else will step in to help him (like maybe one of his sons). Noone can replace you—but he will find his way. Yes?

ginasgems4you @saucyandsassy yes he does have great support from a lot of his friends. He has tons of them so I’m hoping they will continue to step up. As for his sons, his eldest is 24 but unfortunately very immature and has his own issues, the other 2 are 17 and 14. He understands I need to get home. His is very thankful for all I have done so far. Praying he gets some encouragement from the eye doc today 🙏

saucyandsassy @ginasgems4you …and it sounds like your hub managed ok without you…but it sure is great that you’ll be back to give support. (Sounds like sepsis, which my husband had two years ago.) You, dear Gina, must find an agreeable way to release all your stress in order for you to stay well and balanced. Please! Meditation? Long walks? Haircare/massage/nailcare? Therapist or talking w good friends? 💕💕💕
