Paula Lishman genuine knit fur coat

*I’ve been selling on Poshmark Canada since 2019. I live in a border city and a 10 minute drive from the USPS post office so I thought I’d give Poshmark US a shot. Paula Lishman Made in Canada knit beaver fur sheared jacket in size medium. Oversized fit. Colour is ombré cognac with slate striping on sleeves and collar. Durable hook and eye clasps along the front are all intact. Two front pockets in perfect condition. This jacket is soft and supple to the touch inside and out. Lightweight and warm. Customized label on inside has faded print, but shows beaver pelt used and unique coat # is 4994, plus medium size. Jacket is in excellent condition. In the 1970’s, textile artist Paula Lishman invented a new technique for knitting fur. She cut sheared beaver pelts into fine strips, then spun them with a cotton fibre to keep them durable. The strips are then knitted and weaved into beautiful jackets with fur both inside and out. The jackets are lightweight, allowing the wearer to move around freely. Because of the unique manufacturing technique, no two jackets are alike. Others have tried to copy the technique, but only Paula Lishman has mastered it. Today, Paula’s jackets and coats retail for thousand of dollars a piece.
