Paul Harvey Aurandt, known professionally as Paul Harvey, was an iconic American radio broadcaster for ABC News Radio. He was renowned for his distinctive voice, delivery style, and memorable segments.
Education: Attended the University of Tulsa.
Early Radio Career: He started his radio career while still in high school, working at KVOO in Tulsa.
Rise to Fame: Moved to Chicago in 1944, where he joined WENR, the ABC affiliate.
The Rest of the Story: One of his most famous segments, where he would tell a story with an unexpected twist at the end.
Paul Harvey News and Comment: His main broadcast, included news, commentary, and advertisements. Known for his dramatic pauses and phrases like "Page Two," "Hello Americans, this is Paul Harvey... Stand by for news!" and "Paul Harvey... Good day!"
