These have been used quite a bit, but still have plenty life (does Patagonia gear ever die?). There is discoloration, but you’ll likely hardly notice while skiing or snowboarding. Even better, buy these while you learn and are falling on your knees then get some newer gear once you stop falling 😉 I’ve worn these snowboarding across the US and never had any problems. They are not insulated, but I’ve always been warm with a base layer. I love these pants, but they are a touch too small for me now. The color is a burgundy, size is small, brand is Patagonia.
