Sadly, they just didn't fit me and since they were Factory Seconds, I couldn't return them. One of the last to be produced fully in the New York factory. These boots are very gently used and worn maybe 10 times in walks around the neighborhood. As mentioned these were factory seconds so there are a few cosmetic issues - uneven sanding on the left heel stack, a couple small missed stitches on the welts, skewed toe caps, and a couple smudges on the leather - I've tried to show these in the pictures. These are purely cosmetic and not structural. From Parkhurst: This Richmond cap toe pattern uses a vegetable re-tan leather from the Seidel tannery. Salts used to preserve the hide are removed at the beginning of the tanning process then it is finished using a variety of vegetable oils and waxes. This leather exhibits a reddish brown hue. With age there will be a patina which will form and you will begin to see some of the reddish-brown undertones show through. This vegetable re-tan leather is a very raw article which means you can expect to see different textures.
