Paragon Tea Cup

This vintage Paragon Double Warrant cup and saucer set was made in England between 1939 and 1949. The pieces are made of fine bone china and have a beautiful peach and off-white color scheme. The round saucer has a slight upward flare, measuring approximately 5 1/2" in diameter at the top and about 2 3/4" in diameter at the base. The cup has a height of 2 1/8", with a top opening diameter of around 3 7/8" and a base diameter of about 1 7/8". The greatest width, from the outer edge of the curved handle to the opposite rim, measures approximately 4 7/8". This set is in very good vintage condition without chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Both pieces ping well when tapped. The cup has some scratches, mostly located inside, some gold wear on the handle and foot, and a small (1/8") scuff with the color loss (shown in the red circle). The saucer has some wear to the gold trim around the center, some scratches from normal use, mostly located on the white center, and a small (1/8") scuff (shown in the blue circle).
