Soft-grip, nonslip base keeps tool from sliding around during honing. Slide-out guard protects surfaces, and can be aligned for both left- and right-handed users. Use the tool to maintain alignment of the edge as often as needed, even daily. Do not use on serrated knives. Hand wash only.
