Pair of Foo Dogs - Chinese- Porcelain

If you know, you know! In EXCELLENT vintage condition. Fine and very detailed pair of Chinese turquoise glazed foo dogs from the mid 20th century. The hollow biscuit porcelain figures stand raised on a rectangular base and are looking sideways with open mouths and tongues showing teeth each with a raised front paw, one resting on a ball and the other stepping on a puppy dog. Both have finely molded details with black over painted eyes and are richly decorated in turquoise glazes which have pooled around the lower body and within the molded ridges. Size: 6 1/4 inches in height.
