Pair of Antique 19th Century Copper & Beveled Glass Carriage Lamps. Must See!!! Details: Two beautiful antique carriage oil lamps Both carriage lamps are fitted with 3 bevelled glass panels each for clear lighting. They also have easily folding doors with clips for security in order to be able to get inside and lock when shut. Finally long handles for the main carriage lamps that hold the lighting fluid for wicks. These lamps were mounted to the coach around the late 19th century, on the right and left side. This form of illumination was also applied at a later date in old monasteries and stately mansions. The coach lamps are completely intact and still have all their original pieces. In the lamp houses of the coach lamps there are mirrored metal sides that allow the light to be reflected and cast out making it easier to see further Unsure how they work so has been listed as untested but everything looks like it should be in working condition. A wonderful clean pair for a collection. Some patina on the copper all in conjunction to the age of the item and very good condition. Measurements Length- 18” Width- 6” Depth- 5 1/2”
