Pair Brass Repousse Wall Hangings Holland Scenes

The repousse process involves creating shaped or ornamented patterns in relief by hammering or pressing on the reverse side. This pair is unique and rare in that it is oval shaped and larger than most repousse wall hangings. Each is also thicker and heavier than most other brass repousse decor. The length at the longest point is just under 16 1/4" and the width at the widest point is just under 13". Depth is about 3/4" Vintage, quality made in England by Peerage.
