I'll be going to the post office tomorrow to ship stuff and I was going to use flat rate boxes like thAt.. How much is it?
Jun 15Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon If postage was paid thru Poshmark you can just attach your label to any of these type as long as it doesn't weigh more than 2lb. More than 2lbs the post office will charge u or u can upgrade the postage thru this app.
Jun 15Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon If you get the USPS app it will tell u exactly how much each cost. I do know that heavy bundle are more expensive.
If you have heavier bundles let the buyer know that you will be adding $1.99 extra per pound for packages weighing more than 2lbs
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be glad to help if I can😊Happy Poshing 😊

maggiemixon
Is it cheaper to do it through Poshmark?? Or this way. ?
Jun 16Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon when dealing with bundles it's cheaper to go through posh because you can bundle your items in the priority mail boxes and all you have to do is print the slip!

maggiemixon
Okay. I don't have a card hooked through posh and no credits yet.. And I am shipping Monday if everything goes as planned but I don't want to spend a lot of money at the post office.. I just don't know how much it will be. In my closet I have note pictures on what everyone is getting, would you mind looking and tell me how much you think it would be. I've NEVER done this. Lol!!
Jun 16Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon I see tht you trade a lot. When you bundle trade, tell them that you will do shipping through Poshmark because you are going to be out of a lot of money if you don't. I learned the hard way. Single items you can save by just doing shipping yourself but bundling can run up to $20 depending on the weight.
So if you are bundling shoes and jeans "which are heavier items" tell them you will do shipping through posh. Anything heavy I would advise shipping through hear. Just make your bundle and place the price at $0 if you are trading and let the other person purchase and that way they only pay for shipping. And they do the same for you.

maggiemixon
So posh is the cheaper way out? (:
Jun 16Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon When dealing with bundles it is cheaper. You can get priority mailing boxes like I have here but the bigger the box the higher the shipping.
FYI... I use the prepaid debit cards for this site😊
Jun 16Reply

alicia5170
@maggiemixon If you want to make any money, you have to tell them that you can trade anymore right now because you need to make money. If you do tell them, everyone will only want to trade. I notice that you've traded all if the items that sell the fastest. Always try to sell first before you trade because if they want it bad enough, they will buy it.😊

So the padded flat rate envelope is okay to use with the shipping label from posh? I've seen so many people use the domestic or international shipping so im just making sure.
Jul 22Reply

alicia5170
@xonatalierose Yes they're fine. Basically the label can be attached to any package as long as it is packaged right and within the weight limit
Jul 22Reply

stefffdavis

@alicia5170 so if we but our own flat rate box we can use PM shipping label as long as its in the weight class?? Cause I know PM says don't use flat rate is that just because their not free or does their shipping label not support flat rate boxes??
Aug 27Reply

alicia5170
@tshan86 I'm really not sure but I have used flat rate boxes before...I just made sure it didn't go over the shipping weight. And u can always cover the box if that's all u have. You can also order the total free and they will ship them to your house free of charge from www.USPS.com
Aug 27Reply

tshan86
@alicia5170 yes I hope it doesn't get sent back cause I had to make a shipment today && that's the only box I had. I ran out of the free ones. But made sure to order more today in bulk lol. But thanks so much for getting back with me.

I have a question. What boxes do you use for shipping because I'm paying half the amount I'm receiving for shipping my stuff out.
Oct 17Reply

alicia5170
@bribri20 I use the flat rate boxes usually when they are paying through posh. If the weight seem like it will be more than 2lb I upgrade the postage. Just let them know that it will be $1.99 extra per pound over 2lb.
If I'm going through Paypal. I don't offer free shipping on bundles. I give them the option to pay for their purchase through Paypal or through Poshmark..., which makes it easier for you. I generally ship the cheapest way when using shipping though Paypal. When possible I use the cheap bubble mailers found at Walmart. Packing in boxes makes your items weigh a little more. If I use a box for Paypal orders, I use flat rate boxes because if it fits it ships for the one price. It comes with tracking as well.

Hi I'm hoping you can help me? I have ordered && shipped from poshmark, but I'm still having a problem understanding which box to use. I reused the box one of my seller shipped to me && noticed it was priority flat rate box which when reading the FAQ it states not to use, however I didn't have a problem receiving or delivering my order. So it's ok to use those boxes?
Nov 06Reply

alicia5170
@2loveydovey I don't think you should have a problem with the priority boxes. I've used them a few times myself. The priority mailing boxes that we are suppose to use only have "Priority Mail" written on it, and not the word flat rate. Those flat rate boxes actually cost more to ship. Just be careful because they may accept it at your post office but charge the receiver of the package the rest of the postage if anymore postage is due. I hope this helps.

2loveydovey
Oh ok thanks for the additional info ☺Just ordered some boxes from usps.com that only had priority mail on it, wasn't sure about the dimension I should get but I did read to choose the one you think is best for your closet. Again thank you so much for the help! 👍

alicia5170
@2loveydovey You are welcome. Always remember, if you bundle and you feel like the package will weigh mor than 2lbs, let them know that u have to charge $1.99 extra per pound over 2lbs. You can adjust the shipping label straight from this app. 😊 Happy Poshing!
