Chunky, vulcanized rubber sole and a canvas and faux leather construction with espadrille trim around the midsole. | Worn once for a full day of walking in Italy before concluding that they were too tight and hurt my toes. Aside from the sizing issue, they truly were the perfect walking-around shoes as the memory foam sock liner was very supportive and comfortable. There is a little bit of discoloration at the heels but overall they are very clean and gently used.
