kueeny Yes!! I don’t understand when sellers take low offers personally. It is, after all, a business transaction. I always make an initial offer at 50% to see what the seller’s lowest price is. Sometimes, they even get accepted! And many of my items are marked up for that wiggle room.

uiolebara @kueeny exactly! Some people put high amounts just to see if people will purchase at that price point but at the end of the day they would still take much lower offers. People get so offended and instead of communicating what their lowest offer would be they just block you. It’s really disturbing.

_karinascloset_ 100% agree. Some people just want to see how low they may be able to purchase an item for. By also immediately declining an offer they are letting go of a potential sale! Not a smart business move. I always make sure to reply to offers regardless of amount.

la_de_da1961 Could not have said it better. I have a small resell business. I do this for food on my family’s plate. If someone doesn’t like my price they will either make nasty comments or report my item as a replica if I don’t agree to their low ball offer. It’s frustrating, but I love to buy and sell. At first I would respond back to those who try to attack my credibility, but was advised that I just need to block them. It’s hard not defending my hard work but it’s also been easier just to ignore it.

uiolebara @wandibiri posh allows you to make offers based on a minimum. People have listed bags at 3000 and ended up selling it for $500-800. HOW would one know the type of deal they could be missing out on if they never try?! NO ONE is trying to be disrespectful we put in our offers to see if we are able to snag a deal. The respectful thing to do would be to come back with a “lowest” counter offer and if it’s too high then one can decline.

I can share screen shots to show proof. A lot of people after they wear dresses just want to get rid of them because they will never wear them again. People sell their items for 50-70% off All the time! Especially in hard times.
