The album debuted on the Billboard 200 for the week ending October 20, 1979, peaking at #12 in March 1980, almost six months after its release. The album has since been certified Platinum in the US. A sleeper hit, 'Heartbreaker' proved to be Benatar's breakthrough single, reaching #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it spent four and a half months, the fourth longest of all of her singles.
