Oviatt's Haberdashery Fedora made by MacLachlan 1930's with Dobbs hat box

Here for your consideration is a rare item of one of Los Angeles first art deco buildings built by James Oviatt in which he housed his luxurious Oviatt's Haberdashery, known as the Cicada Room today. This hat embodies the bold spirit that erected such an art deco work of art. The hat is a milk chocolate brown with rose tinted band, trim and intact wind cord. The liner and sweatband are in pristine condition. The hat shows no wear as I am the second caretaker. I acquired it from the daughter of the original purchaser. The hat is 7 3/8 in size. Since in my possession the hat has been in the Dobbs hat box that is included with your purchase.
