@cindiz44 you are so sweet, thank you so very much!! Lips the TB is a tornado survivor had front teeth knocked out and other severe injuries! (see banner in photo, that's Lips) we were at the annual OK State University Animal Sciences Open house for new/prospective students..

@cindiz44 .well the girl that's in the photo w/me was a volunteer at the Vet Hospital when he was brought in that dreadful night/early morning and He Lips was the reason she decided to become a Veterinarian and she's in her 2nd year...

I am blessed to have watched many of these horses who've have beat the odds of starvation, blatant neglect & the precious gentleman beast Lips! 😊 thank you so much....out of 11 we started with only 3 😜💕

@cindiz44 oh We have zero vacancy! Haha! We don't take rescues anymore; I will help in need find help until homes/fosters are found etc. we don't have the300ac we had prior to 2015 when bought this very new 30ac ranch.Just don't have the room/grazing area...or quarantine quarters, can't put my herd @ risk. You made my day also!!

@aly2010 you're exactly right. Horses are the best therapy! I have two TWH'S. They're like extremely large lovable dog's! Of course non horse people run from them like they're being chased by big foot! Lol

@dlittlefield68 the Black one with me laying on her is "My Girl" a starved rescue and she's is also a TWH!! I love how smooth she is! She's not scared or easily spooked and I love that. I still wear my helmet and a Tipperary sport vest while trail riding since I have a pacer. But once she gets on the trails she's a dream and she really loves it! And my husbands rider is a black Percheron/QH and she's a beautiful beast!

@dlittlefield68 yes ours are like dogs-except one I can't get her trust, but not working with her like I should. Horses know when your tense. When I do ground work before riding I always take deep breaths so she can hear me. She has a crow hop issue and shatters me-just cold backed...I work her for about 20min and then she's fine. I agree I just love it!!!

@aly2010 I'll ask one of out trainer's about your issue and see if they have any tips. You horses recognize you by the smell of your breath,breath in his nose b/4 work. If mine hasn't seen me in a bit I walk him around the pasture never make eye contact but talk to him while we walk, make him walk behind me. Maybe try earning his trust by spending more leisurely time at first. In other words, get him to like you before you kick his ass! Lol

@mooring4 awwww! I'm sorry for your loss! I had 3 boxers in the house of course, and when our two boys had to be put down, we did it in the same day, 13 & 11 jets old. I prepared as best I could and got this fella as a pup and he's our everything-

@mooring4 as well as the Sissy kitty which Zorro adores-no stop playing. Then the 2 Nubian Goat girls and Heyu the ranch dog, then there's the 11 horse that are our joy! We adore each and everyone! Zorro is the bes dog ever! I don't take him to pet stores because I never get out of those places haha!

@amasquared thank you! I’m such a lover of all animals, no snakes. Our ranch hands are very important here lol. Heyu is a German/golden mix and such an amazing dog! All on our ranch except the 3 horses and the shih tzu we started with are rescues or “dumpees”. Thank you for the message! Love positive people who try to make a difference for animals, those who educate and advocate for them, I.e. spay/neuter, geld stallions etc

Love your heart for rescued animals. We have a total of 7 rescues (5 dogs and 2 cats) as well as 4 chickens.
