Total paper size is 22.5”x 15” Fields’ watercolors are described as soft and subtle with an abstract clarity. Her luminous paintings have a rich descriptive style with an impressionistic flair. Fields’ favorite subjects are landscapes and reflections in water, thus the title “Reflections in Watercolor.” Much of Fields’ subject matter is derived from vintage cottages and buildings “reflecting” the past. As a member of the Society of Western Artists and California Watercolor Society, Fields lectures/demonstrates, teaches and jurors art shows. Her work is among the permanent collection of businesses, libraries and banks as well as private collections throughout the United States, Canada, England and Europe. She was one of 17 artists to have her work exhibited in the Governor’s Council room in the California State Capitol.
