Original Graphite Sketch Of "Ming the Merciless"

This is a graphite rendering of "Ming the Merciless," a character played in the 80s "Flash Gordon" by actor Max von Sidow. Ming the Merciless was a self-proclaimed Emperor of the a Galaxy and a ruthless tyrant, ruling the planet Mongo. The sketch will be sent without a matte or frame. When the artist originally framed this portrait, she dropped it causing the glass to break. The accident made the piece even better. The place where it broke looked exactly as if Ming had punched through it. Over time and several moves, the glass came apart too much so the portrait was removed from the frame. This graphite sketch was done on archival quality Bristol, and sprayed with fixative for extra preservation. This graphite sketch is signed by the artist.
