Opal fossil petrified wood earrings

These are earrings made out of rare petrified wood that has turned to opal, sometimes called wood opal. Wood opal is the fossilized remains of a tree that over time mineralized and the organic tree material was replaced by opal. The earrings are multicolor with burgundy, teal, yellow, grey, red. I really like the little circular patterns in the center of these ones. The last image is not the item for sale, it is just an example of what a wood opal gemstone looks like before being cut for use in jewelry. The earrings are the item for sale. They were never worn. I bought them because I love wood opal but they are quite dainty and I prefer big earrings so I just never wore them.
