hi there. pit to pit with the jacket buttoned is 40 inches. I personally never wore the jacket that way - I always had it open. it's not one of those jackets that you would wear to keep you warm, it's more a classy statement piece. it's got a silky lining, not a fuzzy warm lining. hope that helps. make an offer!
