Olive Commons Signed Hand Painted Small Porcelain Brooch RARE

Olive Wesler Commons is a Florida artist who was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 8, 1880. She moved to central Florida in 1908 and paints miniature Florida scenes in oils on hard porcelain that has been specially glazed. She then burns the porcelain at a high temperature. Commons is a member of the Miami Art League and received the League of American Pen Women's New York World's Fair Medal in 1939.
