Oaxacan Ceramic Wall Cross - Barro Negro/Black Clay

Hand Made artisan cross made in the traditional Oaxacan art form called barro negro or 'black clay'. The dark color and slightly metallic sheen are achieved by polishing the clay's surface with a quartz stone or piece of obsidian before the cross is fired in the kiln.
