David Andersen 1940
This really neat vintage 2" stick pin is made of what seems to be brass with enamel. It is in the shape of a Norwegian Flag and a circle with the words "Nasjonal Huelpin". The back is signed "David Andersen" and "1940". It has the end cap. This pin is in good condition with light age wear. This seems to have been made for the Norwegian Campaign during WWII. I have never seen another like it, so make me an offer on the price.

I'm Norwegian and if you don't mind, I'll comment on this with some information. The pin says 'Nasjonalhjelpen' ('The National Help') and is the name of an organization that was created in Norway in 1940 and with help by donations provided financial and other support to those who were affected by the war, and injured. They worked hard and did a lot of good.

After the war they continued to collect donations and the money were put into a fund for those who had lost family members during the war etc.
David Andersen is a Norwegian designer.
This is a great find. Hope my comment was helpful in some way. :)

I have a Swedish one. We were Neutral in the war. 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪. Love all of Scandinavia. Going soon. Love Norway too. Grew up all over in my youth there. Good luck with your pin. It's pretty. My mom was born there and all my relatives in Svergia 🇸🇪
