Thank you for your interest. I just added two photos of the heel. At the very back the heel is just about 1". The shoe leather is very soft and delicate, almost like a kid-leather. For a size 9 shoe, they look very petite.

Yes, I'd say they are medium. I'm a medium. They look more petite and narrow, but that is the style. I found them very comfortable.
