So I made it to the 1 year mark in October and I am doing well. They admitted me a few days after my anniversary because I had been sick. Gave me blood and some other very much needed medication and I came out feeling so much better. I’m so happy! 🥰🥰🥰😁😁😁 You know I reached out to the donor in July and I never heard back 😢. I’m so disappointed. But that is the families choice. Maybe one day they will. Check out the first picture of my grandbaby Khloe. She has the future model walk down pat LOL, she is a fashionista already and she has her Nonnies love of shoes. That’s my girl 🥰🥰🥰 Thanks everyone for the well wishes and thoughts and prayers. Robin

cakegma I will be praying for you. My son had a Liver Transplant on June 7th it was a miracle because when the Dr removed his old liver he said it was Done he would not have made it 2 more days. There are miracles I will talk to God about you as I tell everyone about my praying ... I call it a talk with God❤️ Please stay strong ... that’s what I kept telling my Son. XOXO Donna

cakegma @forestthrutrees You won’t believe this. He was out in the Transplant list here in California at Loma Linda Medical Center May 27th I think. He was called in on June 6th and they told him they had a possible Liver but he should be aware it may not match and it may take several times to get the right one. Surgery was next morning at 10:00am and ended at 4:30. He is thriving now it has been 6 months. It is a miracle. You can message me anytime.

I had stage 4 Cirrhosis of the liver 9 years ago and it healed itself enough for me to still be here. I too am diabetic, so I understand all to well. I’ve been sharing your closet for a few years. forestthrutrees @fashionmom0822 Michelle that is so awesome! 💃💃💃 i’ve been a nurse for over 25 years and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of anybody cirrhosis of the liver healing itself that is amazing, and yes you are a miracle! Yeah I was just sitting here thinking when this is over and my diabetes is gone I’m not sure how I’m gonna live LOL. I’ve been diabetic for 44 years and I don’t know any other way to live. So this will be a total learning experience for me in itself.

forestthrutrees @maucri Thank you. Yeah so when they harvest the organs, meaning the end of life surgery, my surgeon is there along with all the others waiting on organs. Mine looks and touches and feels the pancreas, if he doesn’t like how it looks or feels he passes.

forestthrutrees @maucri Meaning there was something wrong with it and he wouldn’t transplant it into one of his patients. IE me. There is a time clock that starts as soon as it is removed. So I’m usually in the hospital and prepared for surgery in case it’s a go. I hope this helps explain. 😜

fashionmom0822 Congratulations !!! I pray for you daily that a transplant will come. I’m working closely with a Endocrinologist to help me with Diabeties and I’m happy to say it’s working. dagmarstone @forestthrutrees she had uterine cancer in her early 20s. She was told that her eggs were that of an old woman. They were talking about adopting, but don’t want to do overseas, because of time constraints. When they were still in Maryland, you have to be a foster parent first. Even after adoption, the family can come years later and take the child away.

I wish them the best of luck and also adopting I a needy child is pretty darn close as having your own. dagmarstone @forestthrutrees I definitely agree loving an adoptive child the same. I just don’t know what the prerequisites are. And frankly, they are both 40 now and may have just given up. The last time I asked my son he asked me not to mention it anymore. I have to listen.

I am a registered nurse specialized in NICU and babies are my thing they always have been and always will be. I have a total Of four granddaughters but this one is my first biological granddaughter. However I love them all the same😊😊. Mine are 8, 5, 4, and 6 weeks. 🥰🥰

She has grown into several since I came back to Houston though. A few weeks away and she has grown like a weed. They will be moving in with us on July 23rd. forestthrutrees @maucri hi PFF I finally got my perfect match and the organ was good. I had just left to stay at my lake house lets the dogs be dogs and went to bed. So I went outside to pick up limbs to burn. Finally went inside and I stopped and looked at my phone, 😮 Hospital called OMG OMG Omg and I just got here. We packed and drove home all the while they prepping me for surgery! I can’t tell you how shocked. Got home and hubby and I left for the hospital

cakegma @forestthrutrees I wish I could share a photo of him just before the surgery and one that was about 2-3 months after the surgery it would give you more of an idea of his outcome, he is doing so well mentally and physically. I do feel bad for the family that lost their loved one. Prescription meds due to a bad back and alcohol out home in his dire condition... he will never drink again nor abuse his body he says it would be like him slapping God in the face.

cakegma @forestthrutrees It had been an eye opening experience that I will never forget. He of course is not as strong as he once was but he is 100% better. I believe it changed his attitude on life as well. I hope your recovery going well. My son also went through dialysis several times due to his liver not working properly. Truly it was a nightmare all of the way around. He say the helicopter land st the hospital that brought in his new liver he says it was like looking at winning the lottery.
