This is a brand new authentic Warmer from scentsy. It has never been used. Element warmers contain a warming plate to melt the wax instead of a lightbulb. They still have a lifetime warranty, you just never will have to replace a light bulb :) there is a small light on the back which indicates whether the Warmer is on or off FYI. Nonsmoking pet free home- former scentsy consultant. Discontinued (hard to find) Warmer.

kate730 @layla502 all scentsy warmers are designed to be used with no more than 2 cubes of wax at a time. (A Scentsy Bar contains 8 cubes). You can always use portions of cubes if an entire cube is too much scent, too! When the scent fades you can put cotton balls in the dish which will soak up the wax. Toss the cotton out and put in new wax. Never add new wax to old because it just dilutes the new wax. Hope this helps :)

sirenmettle @kate730 Can other brands of wax be used with these? I have several from a local small business/friend who makes them and really want to use them instead of buying anything else.

kate730 @sirenmettle scentsy has lifetime warranties on their warmers which are void if you use other brands of wax in them. Also, Scentsy’s wax is designed to melt at a lower temperature since all their warmers use heat generated from a low wattage light bulb or a warming plate. Other brands of warmers are hotter and therefore other wax brands need higher temps to melt. Other brands of wax may not totally melt in a scentsy Warmer.
