thriftyappeal @gratefulsmiles The waist is approximately 13 3/4” wide as it naturally wants to lay. While the fabric has a slight stretchiness to it, the waist seam is not necessarily meant to stretch. The waist has a curve to it, so if you stretch it/force it into a straighter line it adds about another inch to the width. Additional photos added to show the measurement and curve.
