Magic Talking Kermit the Frog from Fisher Price Sesame Street. This toy has sat inside a zippered storage bag on the top shelf in my closet for over 20 years! Consequently, it looks just like the day it was purchased, still inside its original manufacturer's packaging. There must be some sort of demo batteries inside Kermit, as he has a "Try Me" hang tag affixed to him, and when you press him now, he doesn't do anything. He worked fine when I purchased him and there's no way to check the demo batteries or replace them without taking him out of the package.
Magic Talking Kermit was released by Fisher-Price (and manufactured by Tyco) in 1999 as part of Sesame Street's 30th anniversary. To date, this Kermit the Frog plush is the only Kermit toy released in a Sesame Street line of toys. The toy has a badge on its chest with the "Sesame Street 30th Anniversary" logo, and Jim Henson's signature under one of its feet. When Kermit's stomach is pressed, he sings a few lines of "Caribbean Amphibian." His mouth also opens and closes while singing, when pressed. Hold his mouth closed and he hums the song. He also says a few other things, including "Hi, ho! Kermit the Frog here!" and "Ribbit, ribbit!" Pressing Kermit's right hand triggers a fly buzzing sound; pressing his stomach in time allows him to catch the fly, and comment. His left hand triggers the excerpt from "Caribbean Amphibian." His left foot triggers the "Ribbit, ribbit!" message.
