New Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Monti Wayfarer 1960’s Tortoise Sunglasses

New old stock (NOS). Never worn. Slight imperfections from 60 years of storage. True vintage B&L Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb USA sunglasses circa 1960’s. Made in USA. Medium to large sized men’s wayfarer. Mineral glass photochromatic lenses. Pure optical glass ground and polished to precision-optics standards. Outdoors they adjust automatically to the brightness. In full sunlight, they allow only 20% of the light to get through. Out of the sun, they fade to a light tint - 65% transmittance. On a cloudy day, they will be somewhere in between. This action is inherent to the glass and will not wear out. There may be hairline (short and light) scratches and/or pinpricks from storage. Right lens has a couple 1mm chips at inside left edge. Not visible to onlookers. Did not obstruct my vision. Pre-B&L etching, non-prescription and ready for wear with 100% UV protection. The inside of right temple is impressed B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A. The inside of left temple is impressed MONTI. Screws are removable. Hinges work well. Some tarnishing and patina to hinges. No tarnishing of the running through temples. Minor hairline scratches to acetate frame. 7mm scratch on right temple. An optician can adjust for you. Frame can be buffed and/or polished.
