New Tord Boontje “Garland” Silver-filigree lamp 2002 Uncut in package

This is a rare vintage, new-in-package uncut silver “Garland” lamp designed by Tod Boontje a Dutch Industrial designer based in London who studied at the Eindhoven Design Academy, and, the Royal Academy of Art , London. These “Garlands” are considered a classic of Dutch design from the 2000’s. They are also in the permanent design collections of the NY MOMA museum, and the Victoria and Albert museum in London. These etched stainless steel Silver filigree sheets are designed to be cut in different ways to create the shape and size desired by the client, and then draped over a bare lightbulb. . There are extensive instruction videos on the internet. The bulb and light fixture is not included, it is suggested to use LED lightbulbs, or, 60 watts. The lamp comes flat, uncut in a rectangular package (see photos). This one is silver,I also have a gold one.
