New Stylish Watch- does need new battery

Black and gold faced watch with silver band, so matches everything! Bought for the boyfriend a few years ago but never wore it, has just been sitting in a box. Does have a few scratches on the back but that’s just from moving in the box. Battery is dead so does need a new one, but overall a great watch for a budget.
