How do you deal with people who compare your items to Amazon and want competitive pricing with free shipping? I offered discounted shipping and reduced price by 30% and they declined.
@cinderella927
Apr 18Reply

cinderella927
@shannonhm That's tough to compete with Amazon. Personally I buy very little from them because the quality is not always good and I would rather support small businesses rather than a monopoly. Someone challenged my price on a piece of my vintage jewelry the other day and I told them my price was still lower than other places. I explained that I research before listing so that I offer fair prices. She ended up buying it
Apr 18Reply

shannonhm
@cinderella927 it’s tough. I also research my prices before setting them and frankly the items he wanted me to compete with wasn’t even the same brand but similar. Since he declined I didn’t bother afterwards. I was just annoyed a bit. Especially since he wanted practically 1/2 price and free shipping.
Apr 18Reply

clarityfinds
@shannonhm Those requests are just part of the deal when selling online. Also, we have sellers on here with inflated prices offering steep discounts to likers so some buyers expect the same kinds of offers for every purchase.

Hi pffs, I just had a very upsetting experience and I wanted to see what people thought. I have to use a stylus to type and totally unbeknownst to me I accidentally hit a show notification with it (my feed is junked up with them) and my stylus landed south of the bid button on a live auction when the window opened. Then as I moved my stylus up to close the window I must have bid on an item I didn’t even see. I was horrified when I got the congratulations message and realized what happened …
Apr 26Reply

cinderella927
@aliokane Could you cancel the purchase?
Apr 26Reply

aliokane
.. it’s an expensive item I can’t afford but the seller was unforgiving and forced me to go ahead with the sale even tho I have no knowledge of bidding or being in the show. I explained I’m sick and recovering from chemo. But she said PM would close her closet down if she let me cancel. I’ve canceled many times and never had that problem. Has an accidental show purchase ever happened to anyone else, and would you have been understanding? Sales are hard to come by now so I do get it
Apr 26Reply

aliokane
@cinderella927 hiya, unfortunately no, PM said it’s up to the seller, and the accidental purchase function doesn’t work for show purchases. You really are at the mercy of the seller if that ever happens. So I’ve been forced to spend almost $300 I don’t have and can’t afford. I’m upset because I know I would have done the decent thing and canceled for them. I have done many times
Apr 26Reply

aliokane
@cinderella927 I’ve tried to turn the show notifications off in the notifications area but it’s not worked and I now get far more show notifications than any other kind, and on a small phone screen it’s easy to hit one by accident and enter a show unwittingly. This truly was a blink of an eye moment and a complete accident, but an expensive one. I could not in all good conscience force someone to go ahead with a purchase under those circumstances, but I guess there are others who could
Apr 26Reply

aliokane
@cinderella927 I just found out from Poshmark themselves that there is NO WAY to turn off all those annoying show notifications. You can only turn off the pushed ones by the notifications switch. It’s been designed to constantly flood our feeds with them. Thought people might want to know as we have long been trying to figure out how to turn them off. Apparently it can’t be done!
Apr 26Reply

cinderella927
@aliokane I am so very sorry to hear all of this! Could you reposh the item? I would still open up a case once you receive the item and try to get your money refunded!
Apr 27Reply

aliokane
@cinderella927 thank you Cindy, yes all I can do is try to clean the bag up and hopefully resell it. It needs a lot of work, and she even tried to position it like she had done me a favor because she said I could resell at a profit. If that was so easy to do why did she not do that? Anyhoo have a wonderful weekend Cindy, thank you for your support 💖🌸🤗

foughty
@foughty if anyone is doing live shows I could use some help. I started my show recording from my phone then went to my iPad to auction
Apr 27Reply

cinderella927
@foughty Not sure if @jenn3981 is on but she has done several lives.
Apr 27Reply

jenn3981
@foughty hey there. You have to have 2 devices open during the entire live show. One for filming and one where you set the auction price and grab items from the tray. Does that help?
Apr 27Reply

foughty
@jenn3981 @foughty. I had both items up iPhone recording the show. My other iPad was up also. I would select the item but never got the item to auction up. I’ve done several shows too. I know I was struggling to get a migraine tonight but I can’t decide what I didn’t do quite right
Apr 27Reply

foughty
@jenn3981 thanks for replying. You are so sweet. I’m going to reschedule. Just can’t figure out what I did wrong
Apr 27Reply

janeta888
This really is a technical question- is there a way to arrange the items in your closet? For me, organization choices offered are:
Most recently listed/
Most recently shared/
Most liked.
Would love to section by type, move sold goods to the end, have my notices stay at the top. I’m sure there’s a means, but I haven’t found it in the FAQs or other PM guidance.
Thanks for any advice!🌺🌸🌼
Aug 08Reply

cinderella927
@janeta888 I like setting up bycategory. I made the divider signs for my closet. Jewelry and Accessories, Vintage etc. You have to manually move your listings under each heading. Asking @jenn3981 how she keeps her closet.
Aug 08Reply

janeta888
@cinderella927 ill do that. I like that look too, just not sure how to achieve it🙋🙋🙋🙋Sometimes party co-hosts ask ypu to put your iyems in tbd top 3 or 4 of your closet, but I’ve not figured out that trick, yet. I’ll message Jenn. Thanks!

@janeta888 1. When you share your listings, use the filter to share only available items. That selection will leave all sold and Not for Sale listings to the bottom. 2. If you want to put specific items in your top listings so hosts can see them, share those items. Your closet is defaulted to most recently shared so they will be at the top.
Aug 09Reply

janeta888
@clarityfinds I’ll try “only available items” setting. Some hosts specify not to share & not to bundle to them, so looking for a way to arrange particular items in order of my choosing in closet.
Also, note some closets have notices at top (hosting party/CCO/spring items on sale), & items in categories, with listing headers topping category.
Cannot figure out/find out how, but still learning. Now, thanks to your suggestion, I’ll net out sold items. Appreciate your help! Janet

I am a little concerned that the buyers are not going to like the added fees on their end. I do have that issue on the other platform. I feel like we are going to have to discount shipping to make up for the fees on their end. Hopefully I’m wrong!
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 I like the $5.99 shipping reduction but I am concerned the buyer's will push back. Does this mean returns will be automatic?
Oct 02Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 gosh I hope not!!
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 It does say if the item received is not as described, does not say anything goes. Well we shall see, I do know other sites are doing this. Not sure how that effects their sales.
Oct 02Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 ugh ok! Yeah I’ve noticed that people send low ball offers and really want a low price because once they add shipping and then the fees some items are almost double.
Oct 02Reply

vannuys77
@aliokane Not to be petty but if she did not disclose the issues or concerns with it then report that when you receive it. Don't settle for junk just because there was an accidental purchase. I've accidentally purchased so many times I've stopped going to shows. Usually I just accept it but when I'm sent junk I don't. I accidentally purchased a purse and it came to me painted and what looked like a blood stain, on that one I was like nope! Posh sided with me. Most others I just re-poshed.
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 We will have to push the reduced shipping. U think on smaller sales it may be ok but I don't know on larger sales.
Oct 02Reply

vannuys77
@cinderella927 I was wondering that by with the buyer protection clause. I mean they already can open a case if they want but is Poshmark moving towards returns now for whatever? If so guess those accidentally bids won't hold much longer.
I was planning to close up soon. Hopefully the reduced shipping will help my closet clear down some.
Oct 02Reply

vannuys77
Hold on, I'm re-reading this .Is the buyer going to have to pay $5.99 on top of their purchases also?
Holy cow! I hope not..they already try to get $10.00-20 additional off because they have to pay for shipping
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@vannuys77 They will pay 5.99% of the total sale plus $1 $2 or $3
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@vannuys77 Oh I am sorry to hear you are closing!
Oct 02Reply

vannuys77
@cinderella927 I was going to last year and had settled for the end of this year. I love it and am addicted to it so we will see how it goes LOL
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@vannuys77 We will have to see how it plays out. Honestly the buyers are taking the hit not the sellers
Oct 02Reply

vannuys77
@cinderella927 Fingers crossed 🤞 But I'm sure we are all about to take one too. Hopefully it will be great! 💜💜💜
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@vannuys77 Yep! We may have to raise our prices and then offer a steeper discount so the buyer thinks they are getting a deal LOL
Oct 02Reply

shannalaura
Omg, I read this all quickly in the kiddie pick up line and it didn’t all sink in that they are double dipping on charging the sellers AND the buyers. 😱 Initially it sounded better for us as sellers thinking a flat fee +5.99% and a small fee on buyers, but eeek they are double charging each the same??!! It sounds like even with the reduced shipping through the end of the year for ambassadors, sales may really drop off.
Oct 02Reply

shannalaura
I know I have heard complaints on another platform from buyers about all the fees on their end. Ugh.
Oct 02Reply

cinderella927
@shannalaura The CEO said at Posh Fest he was finally listening to the sellers about the fee structure. People complain this is what happens. Posh was not going to restructure without it benefiting them. I do know other sites do this and not sure if it helps or hurts. I would have gladly stayed with the old structure. They are double dipping.
Oct 02Reply

jersey_to_nc
@cinderella927 Why am I confused? 😅 Is the buyer protection fee for something like if it doesn't fit? And what's 1, 2, 3? Maybe I need to go back and re-read ... with my glasses on 🤣. Oh Poshmark ...
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@jersey_to_nc LOL I like everything except charging the buyer. I think that might deter people. However other sites do that. I think we will have to pay even closer attn what we list items at. It might also deter lowballers?
Oct 03Reply

shannalaura
@cinderella927 it will be interesting to see. I started trying out another site that operates on a model similar to this, but with no seller fees. I sell a lot less there and my prices are definitely lower since I’m accounting for not having to give up that 20%. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure!! I’m already cross-listing a bit more in preparation and also because my vintage does really poorly here anyway. It would be wonderful if those low-ballers buggered off! 😂
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 well it looks like Posh is taking care of the shipping discount for us! We have a “shop and get $5.95 shipping on all listings from this closet”!!!
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Same in my closet!
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@shannalaura I have tried 2 other sites and did not do well at all. I looked at 1 of them again last night with no seller fees thinking I will try again but my goodness you have to pay to electronically transfer ur money!
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@shannalaura We should try to promote our vintage items. I do really well with mine. Vintage is a category Posh should promote more. It's a hot category.
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I think it’s that posh pass beta- because it’s only on ambassadors closets! So hopefully posh will offer this through December 31st like it says!!
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 I hope so! This will all be interesting!
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I did take off any of the discounted shipping I had on items since my entire closet is at $5.95. I had sent some offers yesterday with discounted shipping so I bundle messaged them and let them know my closet has discounted shipping so I could discount the item by $2/3 to account for that. I’m not a reseller- I’m just getting rid of stuff so I have a different sales tactic!
Oct 03Reply

fluff_and_fold
@aliokane I set up Apple Pay as my form of payment. It takes an extra step and allows you to accidentally bid but not finish the purchase. It’s saved me a few times. It is truly crazy how easy it is to accidentally bid. My cell was in my pocket on a walk and showed I had bid on some absurd carved aardvark and won. Thankfully seller cancels the sale without even being asked.
Oct 03Reply

jersey_to_nc
@cinderella927 Why am I so lost with this ? 😂🙈 How do I know if my closet has the reduced shipping they're offering? Also, does posh have more info posted somewhere I obviously can't find? Ty and luv you, mean it!
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@jersey_to_nc your closet does have the reduced shipping. If you click on any of your listings you'll see the green banner at the top. You can find more info at https://blog.poshmark.com/
Oct 03Reply

cjk5940
so what exactly is happening??I didn't see any notifications, just different shipping discounts popping up on my site and on others. Some of the shoes I see are getting $1.99 shipping discount.
Oct 03Reply

jersey_to_nc
@sb2388 I thought it'd be there but all I see is the reminder that I'm a slacker saying "it's been two days since you shared this listing" 🤣🤣. At least it's there, I appreciate you letting me know!
Oct 03Reply

jersey_to_nc
@sb2388 Oh and TY for the blog link! I should have checked there. My menopausal brain is working overtime lately and I expect the same l tomorrow or for the rest of my life because... menopause. 😂
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@cjk5940 from the announcement/ blog: This program is currently in beta and is being tested in the US only. As we continue to roll out and refine Posh Pass, more updates will become available.
Posh Pass is a seller program designed to help dedicated Poshmark sellers grow their businesses by offering buyers discounted shipping on their purchases. Sellers participating in the Posh Pass program benefit from increased visibility and a competitive edge, while buyers enjoy lower shipping costs.
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@jersey_to_nc maybe share the item then check again?
Oct 03Reply

@jersey_to_nc ha no worries!! It's a lot of change!!
Oct 03Reply

Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@jersey_to_nc I literally laughed out loud at your post!
Oct 03Reply

myfurryfamily
@cinderella927 need to read this more thoroughly but God, double dipping? NO! They already have the highest fees! Add Vintage as a category? Yes! Be back later!
Oct 03Reply

cjk5940
@sb2388 thanks, I actually saw the announcement starting today at the top of my closet. I wonder how it will go over with buyers!?
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@cjk5940 IDK That is a concern. Plus if the buyer is paying for buyer protection does this mean all returns will be accepted? Other than that I like the new structure.
Oct 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 @cjk5940 I did have one sale already! The buyer did offer me $1 less than my offer though.
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 YAY! good! $1 isn't bad at all!
Oct 03Reply

jenn3981

Oct 03Reply

jenn3981
@jersey_to_nc oh my friend I hear you. Took me 4-5 years to get to the other side 🥵🥵
Oct 03Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 Thanks for starting the discussion on this latest round of confusion. Ever since this new ceo, it’s been one unwelcome change after another. I don’t appreciate the drop off due to the shows and constantly being bugged about it and don’t particularly appreciate this.
Oct 03Reply

phoenix_55
How is this listening to sellers?! This is just muddying the waters and making things confusing for buyers and sellers alike. New buyers already feel confused about certain aspects. And a hit on the buyers will sadly affect sellers. Many buyers already think that we somehow set the shipping price, as I’ve had to clarify that.
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@phoenix_55 I hear you. Manish has been the head of Posh for several years, another company acquired them a few years ago. Manish said he was changing the fee structure because so many sellers were complaining. I don't think sellers understood that Posh was not going to cut fees unless they too made money. I tried a few other platforms and they nickel and dime the sellers and I sold very little so I closed my closets. Let's see how it plays out.
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
I think reducing the shipping is a big plus and we should stress that to buyers.
Oct 03Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 Yes, time will tell. But generally, extra fees tend to rub people the wrong way and buyers will just walk away instead of buying. I’m fine with the 20% fee. Yeah, it’s a bit high but this is not a better alternative. I’m frustrated with the shows more than anything else. I wish they’d move the shows to a different app/site and leave the rest of us to do our business. I’m not a fan- between the ridiculous low starts and all the accidental bidding, it’s not helping most of us.
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@phoenix_55 I don't think this new fee structure will help the shows. People will bid and then see they have to pay the buyer protection $$. I was surprised when looking at other platforms last night that one large one has started live shows.
Oct 03Reply

shopwisteria
Made a sale in my daughter’s closet $32 without an offer the fee from my total was $4.44
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria The buyer had that added on to the $32?
Oct 03Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 idk what their fee was they paid tax and shipping that is currently 4.99 in that closet for the listing streak . Posh charged me $4.44 which is not bad from a $32 item.
Oct 03Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Agree! Not a bad price! I do think this new structure favors the sellers.
Oct 04Reply

leachj974
@cinderella927 Sorry I don’t, I just accepted an Offer of $15.00; instead of making $12.00 as usual I made $11.66 🤷♀️
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@leachj974 That is weird according to Posh you should have paid $1 plus 5.99% x $15. or .90. for a total of 13.10
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@leachj974 did you have a shipping discount on the listing?
Oct 04Reply

leachj974
@sb2388 No she sent me an Offer of $15.00 & I made $11.66 instead of $12.00 as usual 🤷♀️
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@leachj974 that’s crazy- I would definitely reach out to posh!
Oct 04Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 Does anyone know whether the Posh Pass shipping discount applies when you make an offer to likers? I see it in the closet and in the Bundles, but there's no clarity on if it applies to offers you send or offers buyers make.
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds I don’t know- I sent an offer through a bundle earlier and she countered back and then purchased. So I’m assuming it does because she didn’t say anything. I was thinking about doing a test purchase to see what it looks like. I can like one of your listings and we can try!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 I would contact Posh as well. That being said until I actually see how a sale is broken down I am not going to calculate. I don't want sellers upset with me.
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
Feel free to like something in my closet! I need to see how it works
Oct 04Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 Let's do it! You like, I'll offer and then you'll let us know what the fees and shipping are.
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds @cinderella927 ok! Liking an item now! I’ll tag you in my featured slide and post screen shots there!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @clarityfinds ok so I would make $2 if the buyer was charged $2?
Oct 04Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 Thanks! So we can confirm that the shipping discount applies to offers. Unfortunately, it also supports my fear that the lower priced items will not sell as easily because the buyers fees are much more noticeable.
Oct 04Reply

clarityfinds
@cinderella927 I'm a bit confused by the question.
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds no problem! Yes I am a little afraid of that but the shipping discount does offset the fee a little so we will see!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@clarityfinds @sb2388 Would Posh pay me $2?
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I’ll send an offer!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Ok Said I would have earned $2.38. I cancelled the sale BTW
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 was it $2 on your end as earned?
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 2.38
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 oh good- and thank you!!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @clarityfinds thanks ladies! I think we need to push bundles on lower price items. I agree with @clarityfinds I think the fees will be more noticeable on a smaller priced item
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 @clarityfinds I agree! Glad we clarified some things!!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Me too! I have fun on Posh and when things change you have to adjust!
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 absolutely! I calculated that posh would take away 3.23 in fees on that sale. So it’s more than the original 2.95 , but they’re eating the 2.02 shipping discount.
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Correct!
Oct 04Reply

phoenix_55
@leachj974 Ugh! That’s why this is so stupid. Sellers that rely on selling for their income and paying bills are getting seriously screwed with having to guess and budget. For more casual sellers it may not be as big of a problem, but this is just next level greed by management. If buyers feel they’re getting the short end of the stick, they’ll express frustrations with the sellers. Or just leave.
Oct 04Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 Most of my items are lower priced. I don’t sell designer items for the most part. I suggest we start a letter writing campaign instead of accepting this nonsense. This just throws everyone under the bus. If enough people say something they can’t ignore that.
Oct 04Reply

leachj974
@phoenix_55 Exactly 👍 I just hope that when an Offer is accepted; they keep it as a Binding Contract!🤷♀️
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@phoenix_55 Well this is their answer to sellers asking for reduced fees. It's not unusual as other platforms do it. If sales tank then they will do something. You can write support and I have heard Manish responds on Twitter.
Oct 04Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 since they’re offering the 5.95 shipping on them I would change any listing with discounted shipping so they don’t take that out!
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Good idea!
Oct 04Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 I very much doubt he cares about much of anything beyond his own bottom line and profit margin. I didn’t have a problem with the 20% fee, at least it was transparent and straightforward. I’m on posh because I don’t like those very structures on other platforms. I also sell on e* bay and have so many buyers asking why shipping is so high and why the fees are what they are. It’s a frustrating situation and not a business model that helps buyers or sellers.
Oct 04Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 They know it’s a terrible idea. Why else would they be ramming it through with no advance notice? It’s underhanded and unprofessional.
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@phoenix_55 Do you sell more on Posh or e?
Oct 04Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 I definitely sell more on posh. Clothes and accessories and smaller items do much better on here. On the bay, it’s best for larger items and collectibles (I prefer ups for the better rates and reliable delivery). But haven’t had too much success with clothing on there. I also like the social aspect of connecting with other poshers.
Oct 04Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @clarityfinds Had a few sales today and made the most on the sale for $70. The $20 sales I made more but not anything great.
Oct 05Reply

clarityfinds
@cinderella927 Thanks for the update. I made offers today and noticed that offers under $20 can yield less profit but sellers earn greater profit beyond 20. So there's some good potential for us.
Oct 05Reply

cinderella927
@clarityfinds I agree! Going to keep that in mind when pricing my items!
Oct 05Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 @clarityfinds oh good!! Thanks for the updates!!

@cinderella927 OK, first question is will this 5.95 shipping last after december 31 or will they start charging for it like promoted closet? I am very leery about this whole change. I've worked at many very large companies and when they say they are doing something for you, it usually means they are profiting.
Oct 05Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Well the 5.95 shipping is a beta test which means for a period of time. Manish said in his letter they will re-evaluate after 12/31 to possibly include all sellers. Right now it is just offered to Posh Ambassadors.
Oct 05Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 Yes, I read that, too, but I'm very leery that this will remain free. Large companies are always looking for ways to make money. They always present changes as great for you. Then down the road, you realize it's not great for you. I've worked at many large international companies. I don't remember one change that was made that turned out great. Posh has employees to pay. And management bonuses to give. They have to figure ways to do that.
Oct 05Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Agree they will probably see how much they make from the buyer protection fees.
Oct 05Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 I sure hope these changes don't drive people away. I have been checking out other selling platforms and there is always something missing in them. Maybe it's the social part that posh offers. But they just don't have what posh has.
Oct 05Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 I agree. I tried selling on 2 other platforms and did not do well. Plus they all have these fees now. One site actually charges sellers $2 to transfrer their money electronically. With the way prices are for food and gas these platforms should be killing it. Will shall see!
Oct 05Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 Yeah, one of the things I noticed on other platforms is the fee to get your money. Posh has so many ways to get your money. Most others you have to electronically transfer, no other way to do it, and some do have fees. Yes, time will tell how things will work out. hoping this time, it's in our favor.
Oct 05Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds @cinderella927 how did everyone do this weekend? No sales for me on here.
Oct 07Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Had a few sales on Fri. and that was it. I almost always have sales on Sun.
Oct 07Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 I usually get at least 1 sale over the weekend. This weekend, lots of likes, zero sales. How about you?
Oct 07Reply

cinderella927
@clarityfinds No sales since Fri. I am also thinking so many people effected by the hurricane, Jewish holiday this weekend, plus close to the election might be effecting shopping patterns. IDK we shall see if the fees are going to hurt. Other platforms charge the buyer so it's not like this is a new concept!
Oct 07Reply

clarityfinds
@cinderella927 Great points!
Oct 07Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 @clarityfinds very true. I had 1 sale on Fri and 2 on Sat over on M. This weekend here lots of likes too and no sales. I dropped a few prices for closet clear out and I usually make at least one sale from that. Very true about the hurricane/ holiday/ etc! I had my largest sales day ever on 10/1 and had great momentum then the structure change!
Oct 07Reply

shopwisteria
I had just two sales this weekend, I normally have 6-8. Super slow. Hope you all are safe!
I made a $133 purchase in a posh ambassador’s closet with bundle discount on 3 items I still got a $5.95 ship fee. My buyer’s protection fee was $22.09! Steep!
Oct 07Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Yikes that is steep! I have watched a few resellers on You Tube that I follow and it seems the sellers make the most on larger sales v. $15 to $20. Every sale I have made so far $$ in my favor. I wish social media would knock off talking about it. People don't have their facts straight!!
Oct 07Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 I hope this is a trial run and they change it again to remove the protection fee. I understand this keeps the scammers away.
Oct 07Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Other platforms have been charging it but I think they call it something else. On Merc there are no seller fees the buyers pay for everything. I understand Posh needs to make money but there has to be another way. I am not bringing it up to any buyers LOL.
Oct 07Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 I’m the same so far nobody questioned
Oct 07Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Buyers need to keep in mind they are getting a good deal from most of us and a few extra $ is not terrible.
Oct 07Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 agree 💯
Oct 07Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 finally had a sale today. It was a lowball offer but I still made more than I would have before with the new fee structure.
Oct 08Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Yay! Congrats! I did too. I thought about it and the total she paid for the earrings was still considerably less than the retail price. Earrings never worn she good a good deal!
Oct 08Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 yes! Great deal!
Oct 08Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 Ok, here is what I was talking about. They say it's a good change for us, but it's really good for them because they will be making more $. we are going to lose sales. I just got an offer of $17 on a pair of jeans. When I went to accept it, the total cost is $29.11!!!!
$17 offer
5.95 Shipping
6.16 estimated tax and BUYER PROTECTION FEE
$29.11 TOTAL PRICE.
THIS IS INSANE. $29 FOR A $17 ITEM!!!! We are going to lose sales just in time for the holidays.
Oct 09Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Well how much would the jeans have been new? Not easy to find a pair of jeans under $30. That is how I am looking at it.
Oct 09Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 That's not a fair comparison. People are not going to look at it that way either. People shop on Poshmark to make deals. The ads on TV aren't selling it that way either. It's a place to make a deal. Time will tell. I've made so many offers since this new policy and wondered why I haven't made any sales. Now I know why.
Oct 09Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 I did read an interesting article that said these resale sites are implementing the buyer protection because they are losing $$ when buyers return items. Posh has to pay for the buyer to return the item and refund their money and pay personnel to process the return. If other platforms have been charging there must be some reason because they will not want to lose $
Oct 09Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 I am going to go back into the offers I made and make new ones and try and compensate for the fees. I knew the change had to do with Posh making $. I never thought they would change the 20% fee because they have people to pay and golden parachutes to give. I'm upset because they say we're going to make more $ but we aren't because people are going to think twice about buying.
Oct 09Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 I will 🤞🤞for you to make some $$! If I can help let me know!
Oct 09Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 THANK YOU for letting me vent. And, thanks for the offer to help. You are very sweet. 💕
Oct 09Reply

phoenix_55
@peggy1658 I agree with you. Buyers are not comparing the prices to that of retail. At the end of the day, they want the best deal for their money. One of my concerns is buyers may assume the sellers are charging these fees, of course we’re not. It’s all about perception on the part of the buyers.
Oct 15Reply

shopwisteria
@phoenix_55 my daughter was in LA and saw the posh commercials, so let’s hope we get some sales if they are offering guest codes with some free spending money 💰
Oct 15Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Oh wow! I am going to have to pay attention to the next Posh commercial. Have you noticed all the incentives they are offering to do live shows? I wonder if they are starting to fizzle out?
Oct 15Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 I haven’t seen any in NY but I also don’t watch much TV
Oct 15Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria They usually run on more obscure channels. Not bad commercials
Oct 15Reply

peggy1658
@phoenix_55 Thanks so much for seeing my point. And making a very good point that the buyers may think the fees are coming from us. I just bought the $17 jeans that cost me $29 with all the fees. I had surgery last year and have lost weight and nothing fits me. But, if I didn't need jeans that fit, I wouldn't have bought them. I'm hoping we still can make sales and buyers don't start returning things.
Oct 15Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 what incentives are there for live shows? I have yet to do one!
Oct 16Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Today was 24 hrs. of free shipping for hosting a share show. I have seen you could win Posh credit.
Oct 16Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 oh wow!
Oct 16Reply

phoenix_55
@peggy1658 Absolutely! A lot of buyers assume we make money off the shipping and I guess that comes from e*bay and the way they used to do their auctions years ago before they changed their own structure. If you’re looking for a lot of pieces due to being a different size now, try to find a seller with a larger closet where you can bundle at least a few items. Also, check out thrift stores in your area. Many have sales too.
Oct 16Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 Did you just see the banner regarding the Fee update?! They "hear your concerns and are actively reevaluating theses updates to ensure they align with your needs and expectations." I took a screen shot and posted it on my "featured" slide!
Oct 16Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 No! I did not see it! Wow!
Oct 16Reply

shopwisteria
@sb2388 interesting! They must have noticed a dip in sales, like we do! Hope something moves soon!
Oct 16Reply

sb2388
@shopwisteria I hope so!!!
Oct 16Reply

peggy1658
@phoenix_55 Thanks for the suggestions. The last resale shop in my area just closed. And they weren't that thrifty on their prices.Since I have scoliosis, too, it's difficult for me to walk through stores. I use to love shopping. My doctor has recommended I see a pain doctor and hopefully, this new doctor will be able to help get rid of the constant pain in my back. I just heard that Poshmark is reconsidering the pricing. Hope they've heard us complaining.
Oct 17Reply

shopwisteria
@peggy1658 Yes, they must see a dip in sales. Hope you find the relief! And feel better soon!
Oct 17Reply

sb2388
Has anyone made any sales since they announced that yesterday? None here- i'm worried buyers are waiting to see if there is a change.
Oct 17Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 That's a good point. I have not
Oct 17Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 1 thing in our favor is that alot of people don't notice alot or bother to read!!
Oct 17Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 hahaha very true!!

@cinderella927 big News!!!
Here’s what we’re doing to make it right:
We’re reverting to the original seller fee structure: Effective October 24, 2024*, we’re returning to the original fee structure of 20% seller fee for sales over $15 and $2.95 for sales $15 and under.
We’re removing the Buyer Protection Fee: Shoppers will still receive the same trusted protection through Posh Protect without any extra cost at checkout.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 We’re ending Posh Pass Beta: We introduced this program to help boost purchases with the new buyer fee structure. With the return to our original fee structure, this program will also be rolled back. We’ll continue to explore similar programs that will benefit our community in the future.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 We’re offering a rebate: To give you time to adapt your listings and pricing strategies, we will issue a rebate** for the difference in seller fees on listings created or edited during the fee change period and sold via Buy Now, from October 24, 2024, through the weekend until October 27, 2024.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@phoenix_55 @clarityfinds @shopwisteria @peggy1658 See my comments above- fees are being reversed!!
Oct 21Reply

phoenix_55
@sb2388 Oh wow! This is the first I’m hearing about it- thank you for letting us know.
I’m getting whiplash from all their back and forth. I don’t why they’re not communicating this better- or at all! Very unprofessional on their part.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@phoenix_55 I know!! I did also receive an email about it. I just don’t know why before we had less than 24 notice and now we have to wait 3 days!
Oct 21Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 I read the email!
Can't believe it! They must have really lost business!
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 oh I’m sure- that’s the only reason why they’d change it! I did take the google survey that was linked in the email. I said I wish the posh pass would stay as it was a nice incentive for being a PA!
Oct 21Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Yes! Agree! They took such a bashing in the media as well! There was also some talk about them taxing shipping and the buyer protection fee. A few articles I read said that was illegal? I don't know but I hope this gets everything back to normal!
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 yes! I saw that too!! I hope it does too! I want to go back to my normal sales!!
Oct 21Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 I just read the email. With the price points of my listings, I'm glad for the return. I made 21 cents more on a $20 item while my buyer paid $3.79 in fees. And that weekend Buy Now rebate is a waste. The stats show that more sales come from offers and bundle offers. I'd much rather have the auto discounted shipping through the end of the year as a PA II.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds same- with my price points I really wasn’t making more! I agree- I wish they’d keep the shipping discount as a thank you to PA’s!!
Oct 21Reply

shopwisteria
@cinderella927 hope we all get a nice little rebate before Christmas! 🎄 🤗
Oct 21Reply

phoenix_55
@cinderella927 I sure hope they took a lot of heat for this nonsense! How do you make a huge change like that without doing some prior research and speaking with PA’s. Not a single person said they liked this, it was hurting sellers and buyers alike. And I believe it is illegal to tax shipping. Posh already has some of the highest commission fees. Trying to squeeze more out of customers is just a really bad look. Thanks to all for the grass roots campaign to take back our business!
Oct 21Reply

phoenix_55
@shopwisteria would be nice but I wouldn’t hold my breath with these people.
Oct 21Reply

phoenix_55
@sb2388 I agree, they should. It’s their mistake and we should be compensated for all this trouble.
Oct 21Reply

peggy1658
@sb2388 I told someone, (can't remember who) that if Poshmark was smart they would reverse this insane mistake. And, I'm going to message Posh and say they should give anyone who purchased with the new system a credit for the extra charges we paid. It should be based on how many purchases were made.
Oct 21Reply

peggy1658
@sb2388 They probably have to hire more tech people to get the system back to the 20%. So that just proves they were plotting the insane change months before they sprung it on us.
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@peggy1658 very true! And I agree buyers should be reimbursed!!
Oct 21Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 I don't think we want to bankrupt Poshmark! Remember people always save money by shopping on here! They get deep discounts, refund them may as well give our closets away for free!
Oct 21Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I think @peggy1658 is talking about the possible fees on sales tax that I had read about. No we don’t want them to go bankrupt but if buyers paid more than they should have it’s only fair to reimburse that. I know I purchased something on 10/9 - it was $3 and I had $4.99 shipping from a listing streak and $5.50 posh credits. I paid a total of $4.29 out of pocket.
Oct 22Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Gotcha👍
Oct 22Reply

peggy1658
@sb2388 @cinderella927 Yes, I was talking about the possible fees on the sales. I bought $17 jeans that turned out to cost $29 with the "protection plan" that we had already gotten with the 20% system. My purchase should have been $24. I think it would take a lot to bankrupt Poshmark. But it's only fair that they refund me some of the $ and anyone else who had a purchase like mine.
Oct 22Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Hope they accomodate you!
Oct 22Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 It's not just me. It should be everyone who over paid. I guess, my Libra instincts for fairness has kicked in. I can't stand things that are out of balance. Seems like everything is these days.
Oct 22Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Well hopefully Posh is reading everyone's comments and it will influence them.
Oct 22Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 🙏
Oct 22Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 @clarityfinds @shopwisteria @phoenix_55 @peggy1658 anyone sell anything since the fees changed?! I have not!! So frustrating.
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 No and I am mad! Why did Posh have to do this in the 4th qtr. I am not even getting traffic through my closet!
Oct 27Reply

shopwisteria
@sb2388 took couple low balls
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@shopwisteria I’m not getting any offers or likes! @cinderella927 same!! No shares at all!
Oct 27Reply

shopwisteria
@sb2388 so much slower though. Not many likes. Usually weekends are busier for me. Hope it picks up for Christmas!
Oct 27Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 I've had a few likes only. Hoping it's temporary.
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds yes- I’ve had a few likes as well but about 1/4 of what I normally get. @shopwisteria same! Yes I hope it picks up!! I wonder if they’ll do some incentive. Remember the free shipping for an hour when they messed with the algorithm years ago?! That would be nice!
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @shopwisteria @clarityfinds I hope it is temporary. We may have to wait until after the election. People are really consumed right now. Another reason they should have waited to switch things up. Also the fact they changed it back so quickly, what exactly happened?
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 very true! Yeah I’m curious as to how much sales really are down!
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Didn't it take M...i a few months to reverse some of their fee structure?
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I don’t Believe they’ve ever reversed it. I’ve been having more sales over there mainly because the shipping is less. I do try to discount my offers more to try and offset the buyer fees.
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Oh do they charge you a seller fee?
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 nope! No seller fees but it’s $2 to withdrawal money. So I just wait to withdrawal until around $50 then it’s like a 4% fee.
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Gotcha! Not bad
Oct 27Reply

peggy1658
@sb2388 Yes, I had a bundle sale and a single sale.
Oct 27Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 Yay!! Congrats!
Oct 27Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 I was shocked and very happy. I do think things will pick up around middle of November. I've read that the Fed might lower rates again, so that will help, too. 🤞

Oct 27Reply

Oct 27Reply

peggy1658
@shopwisteria Great!! Let's hope this is the beginning of better times.
Oct 27Reply

sb2388
@peggy1658 oh congrats!! I just messaged posh and told them that they need to incentivize buyers by either bringing back the posh pass or offering free shipping for an hour. One can dream!!
Oct 28Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 Good for you! Business cannot be good. I always look to see how many people are watching the shows and the past few weeks very few.
Oct 28Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 I agree- very low numbers!!
Oct 28Reply

peggy1658
@sb2388 Good ideas. I hope they do something to help out.
Oct 28Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 I think the shows have had their day. I went on the share shows last year and stopped in January. I sold nothing on shows.
Oct 28Reply

sb2388
@shopwisteria @cinderella927 @peggy1658 how’s everyone doing sales wise?! Nothing for me on here since 10-23!! Starting to get discouraged lol
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @shopwisteria @clarityfinds @peggy1658
I have had 1 sale in the past 10 days. I emailed support and asked was there a change to the algorithimn or something else which has caused traffic to practically cease in my closet. Of course standard canned response Poshmark ebbs and flows look at what you can do different in your closet. I am not just discoraged I am concerned!
Nov 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 same!! I messaged them as well and got the same response. I agree traffic has just stopped. I’m hosting a party on Wednesday and I have like 5 likes on my party listing. Just crazy!!
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 There had to have been something major happen that they reversed the fee structure so quickly! I read a few articles that said it was admirable that Posh apologized and changed the fee structure back so quickly. However they have not offered buyers any incentive to shop again. IDK may take time for people to trust Posh again.
Nov 03Reply

clarityfinds
@cinderella927 Not one sale. The most action I got is a $10 offer a minute ago on a silk blouse that’s in my closet for $50. It’s like my listings fall off the radar with every algorithm change. The only thing that gets me traffic in times like these is listing 4+ items in the same day. I’m looking at it as an opportunity to practice patience. 🤷🏽♀️
Nov 03Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds @cinderella927 I agree! They need to do something to bring buyers back. I had my 12th week of a listing streak and all I got was a new app picture. 🤦🏼♀️. I need to list more- I’ve just been deleting and re listing and even with that I’m not getting 1/4 of the shares i used to. I agree the something must have changed.
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
Keep in mind I do think the election is effecting sales as well. Another reason they should have waited to play with the fee structure. Never in an election year.
Nov 03Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 That app icon change reward angered me. 12 weeks for the equivalent of a sticker! ::Humming to return to my happy place:: ☮️💜
Nov 03Reply

sb2388
@cinderella927 very true! I’ve had 5 sales on M——-I so I feel like people are just upset with posh! @clarityfinds I need to be more zen!
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @clarityfinds I may give M another try. I agree that stupid reward!
Nov 03Reply

clarityfinds
@cinderella927 it has the other fee structure but buyers see the #s at the top of the listing. I haven’t tried it; I’ve seen it when I was comparing prices for items.
Nov 03Reply

shopwisteria
@clarityfinds
@sb2388
Mine picked up again, but I have been listing a lot. Still less than normal.
Nov 03Reply

sb2388
@shopwisteria maybe this is the key, I’ll try to list more!
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
@shopwisteria Yay! I am glad you have had sales!
Nov 03Reply

shopwisteria
@sb2388 also list low priced items that gives me the most traffic bc people do filter low to high
Nov 03Reply

sb2388
@shopwisteria ok, tysm!
Nov 03Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 Sorry I'm late to join the conversation. Right after the fee changed back, I had 5 sales. I thought everything was fixed, but I'm not sure. I had a sale a few days ago. But that's it. I list every week. On the 15th week I think for listing. I've got more to list. I don't know what the answer is. I don't know anyone who's doing great. I tried to list yesterday to a party that i had two items for, and they kept being rejected for the party. I checked other items that had been posted
Nov 03Reply

peggy1658
@cinderella927 and I had the right categories but mine would not post. I messaged support and got the same stupid answer hours later about sending a screen shot of the rejection. I told them the party was hours ago and I don't have that screen shot. Have not heard back. It's like talking to a wall. There's never a response that solves a problem. Just going round and round with messages.
Nov 03Reply

cinderella927
@peggy1658 When you host you don't know what will be accepted for a host pick. It is frustrating. I had 2 sales today.

@clarityfinds no- I sold half as much in November than I did in August/ September. You?
Dec 02Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 @cinderella927 2 sales in November. None this weekend. I'm looking for some hope of a return to reasonable sales or enough sales to stay on this platform. 🥴

@clarityfinds I think shoppers hit the stores hard on Fri and Sat. Posh should have offered some more incentives. Everything is focused on the lives which I don't think shoppers want to do for Xmas gifts. However what do I know🤣

@clarityfinds I agree. They really dropped the ball this weekend. I just got my listing streak reward- another app logo update. I honestly can’t believe it- a shipping discount would be so helpful right now. I will be closing my closet at the end of the year as well. The other platforms are so much less work!

cinderella927
@sb2388 Oh I am sorry to see you 2 close! You are both such nice people and helpful. I understand though.

@cinderella927 I just wish there was more incentives after everything that’s happened! Just frustrated!
Dec 02Reply

clarityfinds
@sb2388 @cinderella927 I’m not yet ready to close, but I’m weighing my options and definitely choosing to expend less energy here. I actually sent a comment via support about how those icon changes demoralize vs. the shipping discounts that actually incentivize listing and shopping. I also think they specifically chose to focus on lives this weekend with bonuses, add’l giveaways, and even free shipping for two hours yesterday.
Dec 02Reply

sb2388
@clarityfinds I did just send support feedback about the listing streak and stated they dropped the ball this weekend!
Dec 02Reply

cinderella927
@sb2388 @clarityfinds There has to be a reason why they are so focused on the live shows! I will send a message as well. They should have offered something at least for cyber monday!

@cinderella927 I know! It makes so sense why they’re pushing them so much! I agree cyber Monday would have been nice. Also there was confusion yesterday if it was free shipping from only the live host or any sale. So I know the one show I was watching everyone was afraid to purchase

@cinderella927 I found the chat! so, I'm not new to Poshmark, this is my second closet here. I'm in a share group now, but with a different format. I've tried two share groups that are just sign up & share types, and that did not go well. the way they SAY they are is very different from how they actually are lol. So, I found you guys & thought this might be a good fit. I've read the slides but had some ?s

I liked the tiles in the three admins closets. I'm a bit confused on the 'follow' aspect and share...is there a separate account for 'the runway', or are we supposed to follow the admins? It also says to share...what do we share, that share group listing for that day? in addition to everyone that signs up? My comprehension skills are pretty good, but I'm just trying to clarify so I do the right thing. Also, how do we report it if we notice people aren't sharing our items?
Feb 21Reply

southpawsfinds
Finally, do we have to participate each day, or do we just choose the days we can and sign up for those? Thanks in advance for your assistance! 💐
Feb 21Reply

cinderella927
@southpawsfinds I post the daily featured closets on Tues. Wed. and Thurs. jenn3981 posts Fri and Sat bargaintwins Sun and Mon. You do not have to share daily. You will find the 3 featured closets in our stories, in the listing under description and in the body of the listing.

southpawsfinds
@cinderella927 thanks for the reply. yes, I read the tiles, and saw who had what day. say I wanted to just participate on Saturday and Thursday for now. Is there a listing for each day of the week so we can just 'like' the day we have time to participate...I guess is what I'm asking.
Feb 22Reply

cinderella927
@southpawsfinds You can participate on any day. You do not have to do all days. So if you want Thurs. you would go to my closet Sat you would go to jenn3981

@cinderella927 ok thanks! I may just observe a bit more for now ..it seems kind of busy, and I don't respond well to people being ugly to me for any little things when I'm new to something lol. There is a learning curve to anything, and that's why I didn't participate in anything like this when I had my first closet here. I'll unlike the listing for now, maybe come back when I'm ready. Thanks again, and have a great weekend!

@southpawsfinds This is a great group! I do not put up with any drama! I am very relaxed! Will be celebrating 100 games shortly! Hope you do observe!

@cinderella927 thank you Cindy, but I’m not quite following what you are saying. Are you saying if we want people to email Posh regarding the messaging allowance for us to post that here and you will spread the word? Sorry, but I want to make sure I don’t accidentally cause offense by doing something wrong, thank you so much as always Cindy, you’re a star! 🤗💖🤗💖🤗💖🤗

them know this policy affects your business income as well as theirs. No sale equals no 20% for PoshMark. They also state you can comment the next
"day" but after 24 hours I was still unable to contact the seller. Only buyers that wanted to make a purchase from me.
and the seller actually
ended up blocking me. That's what happens when communication abruptly gets cut off. Please. Please. Email PoshMark support.

the screens-hots in my closet are from a convo on Red-dit .
I received a similar response back. I just have not had a chance to screen-shot and post them yet. They are trying to say it's to reduce sp-am and have meaningful conver-satiomsy. However, like I said in my eee-mail back to them, you cannot really have a meaningful conversation in a 500 character limited message and then limit the bundle msg as well. Weird spelling because this keeps getting flagged

I tried to post 4 comments and the first 2 Are already missing. Ugh basically posh is limiting daily bundle comments. Please look at

@amusinggrace oh no!! That’s the only way to explain CCO to potential buyers. Frustrating when they arbitrarily change things without thinking it thru first.

@daisy778 @daisy778 I know. 🫤 that is why I’m
Encouraging everyone to email posh Support and let them know how it will affect your business as well as theirs. @aliokane said the comment limit is 5! I never counted named support will not tell you. The more users they hear from the more they will consider a change , otherwise nothing will happen.
@belladonna @moxierae please read comment on this thread and slide into in my closet
Have a great day everyone

@amusinggrace yes, I agree. If this 5 message/day limit is affecting your business Poshmark needs to know. We can only affect change from within. If you are talking to a buyer and you run out of your messages for the day, Poshmark expects us to continue the conversation the next day, and you can’t run a business like that. It affects how we talk to buyers, sellers and each other. Management needs to know, so please email them, thank you, Ali 🌸

@amusinggrace you are spot on with this. They limited the # of characters per message and now are limiting the number of messages. They say it’s a ‘work in progress’ so I wrote back and said they need to fix it now. I’ve asked them to at least increase the number of messages in the short term so we can talk to our buyers. But I don’t believe it’s spam, I have never seen a spam message in a bundle, ever. Have you? 🌸
3 days agoReply

aliokane
@cinderella927 hello everyone, Poshmark has recently cut the number of messages in bundles to 5 a day. So if you are mid chat with a buyer or seller and you run out, PM expects you to finish the chat the next day. We cannot conduct business like that. So if it’s an issue for you, please write to PM and tell them how it’s affecting your business, and therefore theirs. It’s the only way we can affect change, thank you, Ali 🌸

hi, I have 2 closets here on PM. My new one is my hand crafted jewelry @cj_design. I was sharing alot, collecting 💙s and Posh locked me out as a spammer. it took several days after going back and forth with them . the response I got back is at end of the jewelry closet @cj_design

@janeta888 this is an old Question, so I’m
Sure you have figured it out or had someone help you by now. However, if anyone else needs this answer…To get the items you want as the first 3 or 4 you share them out to your followers or a party. Whatever you share last will show first in your closet. If you want it by category then you use the filter looks like a funnel, type bags for ex in the search are and it will pull them up then share all of them l

@aliokane no I have never received spam only unwanted show notifications. Tons and tons of them. I don’t want to block the sender because I may want to watch a show or purchase from them someday but it is so annoying. We can write to them about that as well. I included the “Whoo-whee” I won another free app icon for my 19 streak listing 🙄 and the de-listing/listing rule as well. Ughh

aliokane
@amusinggrace you are kidding me? I have been doing that stupid streak game for 8 months too because we can’t opt out, and in the 8 months I’ve been doing it I got that worthless icon every single time! So I looked it up on google and so have thousands of others. I’ve written 5 times about it but still I get the icon so they don’t care because I can’t be the only one reporting it. But how is it so many of us keep getting that icon and nothing else, for months and months?
2 days agoReply

aliokane
@amusinggrace I told PM no one cares they can change the color of the icon, big whoop, and I asked them to give us something of worth to the community instead, even a $1 or $5 credit, but they’ve done nothing. No matter what square I’ve picked I got that icon, 10 out of 10 times at least, and statically speaking I don’t understand that. And it sounds like that happened to you too. It’s so disappointing to keep getting that awful icon every single time when you have to post for weeks for a play
