farmhousegifts Hello, Large is approx 19 1/2" across measured flat from underarm to underarm, Medium is approx 18 1/2" across. I tried both on, I am small frame but large busted and both fit fine and the only difference I saw was the front closed a little more in front. I hope this helped.
