Fusee pocket watch pendant made by A. Neuchtel.
Beautiful verge and fusee antique jeweled watch, made in the style of Louis XVI in Switzerland circa late 18th century. Very beautiful pendant type piece, carefully crafted in solid tricolor gold of 18 karats and decorated with chiseled, textured and engravings of floriated motifs. The front main lid boasts a pair of enameled oval portraits of a lady and a gentleman dressed in the fashion of the 1780's. They are adorned with a diamonds double border with a bow above and a wreath with tassels all fully decorated with rose cut diamonds.
The dial is the original, made in white porcelain with black arabic numbers and black-bluish hands. Fitted with a hinged Swiss fusee movement that need to be serviced.
Diamonds: The front of the case and the dial frame are mounted around with 206 old European rose cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 4.12 carats, near colorless G/H/I/J color, SI clarity.
Weight: Total of 63.5 Grams, (40.71 Dwt).
Measurements: 43.5 mm by 62 mm (1.71 x 2.44 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark and signed, "A: NEUCHTEL 18KT 1838 1 LC MURON".
Note: The case was recently gently cleaned, keeping the original patina intact. A new bombe glass was specially cut and the movement need servicing, however this piece will look wonderful as a pendant.
