hoodsass @alyssaxmaxine no it's completely fine! So I'm usually a 30 in jeans but when I tried this it squished my fat a little on the sides. So it should fit you perfectly but honestly since there is no elasticity, there is a small chance of it falling. But I e had my sister try them to see if she wanted it and they fit her perfect and she's about a 27 too. I think it ultimately depends on your shape
