This Navajo belt buckle set, crafted by artisans Ken & Mary Bill, is made of sterling silver and weighs 50.6 grams. The set includes a buckle, tip, and two keepers, with the buckle stamped with the artists maker' marks sized for a 1" width leather belt. Originating from the Four Corners Region in the United States, this handmade piece reflects the traditional artistry of the Navajo tribe. This set was acquired as part of a McKinney, Texas estate collection and were worn by a kind woman whom was raised in California and was bigtime into the cowboy cowgirl rodeo circuits in her younger days. This lady was a USC graduate whom worked in the medical field helping other people. She had an incredible collection of western boots, clothes, art, and Native American items mostly all original hand crafted and vintage. These items showcase the skilled craftsmanship and cultural significance of the Navajo people.
Overall in good pre owned condition with some metal deformation on the slide attached to the triangular shaped belt tip that can be flattened if desired with some skill and patience, otherwise the keepers and buckles are in great shape save for typical use wear and tarnish.
