The fringe is attached to a strap that is attached at the top of the boot. No it is not removable, But this means that the weight of the fringe does NOT make the boots fall down while wearing!! Now if all shoe designers would take note please! Boots have a round toe and stacked heel and Leather upper. Boot Shaft height: ~17.5" Heel height ~2.5" In good used condition with lots of life left (see photos). The heel caps do need to be replaced. I just haven't worn them in a few years now.
