One of Nambé's earliest designs, the ample curvature of the round Tray, while the subtle base creates a sense of perfect balance. Freezer and oven safe, this classic piece continues to enchant as both a work of art and serving piece.

Hi. Thought you'd like to know that this 8-metal alloy is an ash tray, called, by nambe, the Pall Mall. ALSO I think you have the wrong description, as it's not a three-cornered bowl.

@lauriebaty I too noticed that someone on Worthpoint noted that this is an ashtray-which it is not. It is a very shallow 9" diameter tray. I did use a copy of another Nambe listing since I have several pieces available. Thanks for pointing out that I missed one reference to a tricorner tray.

@lauriebaty Please note an updated image of a sticker found on a 728 piece indicating this is a food grade product (I.e. the bowl/platter can go from the oven to the table making it a food grade product).

@lauriebaty Thank you for your wealth of knowledge on this product. I Posted that piece of information for people interested in purchasing the item. Letting them know that this can be used for other reasons than an ashtray.

I think it's a wonderful re-use, especially when so many folks no longer smoke. But for those of us who collect, we know it for what it was originally made! It's amazing the smoking culture of the 1950s-70s. And nambe had many different options for cigarettes and cigars!

I'd love to send you a copy of the catalog showing it along with 4 other ashtrays and then the actual listing under ASHTRAYS--12 in toto! Just amazing. But we can't send photos in poshmark, at least not that I'm aware of.
