NWT! Vintage- Egg Yolk Bakelite W/ Brass Inlay Pendant Ring Collar Necklace

This subtle pop art necklace is truly a statement with a collectible little Bakelite pendant. The round butterscotch Bakelite pendant with a carved inlay filled with textured brass and a melon ball matching bead in the center was an old earring that I couldn’t find the mate for. So instead, I up-cycled it, added a gold tone collar style ring so that it can be worn again! This necklace would look amazing layered or simply on its own. For proper storage and care, Bakelite should not be kept in sunlight (when you are not wearing it). I store it safely in a padded jewelry box with acid free tissue paper in a dark, climate controlled room. Wear it to a music festival, running around town, out on a date, or if you really want to impress someone, wear it around a Bakelite fan. WE EXIST! ❤️ The measurements are in the pictures above. I’ve seen these same earrings in a collector’s book. So if you have the matching earring, I will of course send you the clip back earring as well. This necklace is groovy yet simply stated. I dig it. Also, when butterscotch Bakelite is polished (professionals only), it usually has a white center. The butterscotch color comes from oxidation. So you will see some white swirling throughout the pendant.
