To the summit and back again, The North Face Brigandine FUTURELIGHT™ Bibs are made for big backcountry missions. Loaded with technology, like TNF's signature FUTURELIGHT™ 3L - a waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable fabric - they're designed for maximum temperature regulation on the skin track and beyond. Plenty of pockets for gear and reinforced kickpatches mean you can go hard and keep everything secure. Bonus points for side-entry and outer leg vents and a self adjusting suspender system which make unzipping to conduct backcountry-business a breeze. The North Face Brigandine FUTURELIGHT™ Bibs are basically backcountry body armor.
Face Fabric
- 75D x 100D 141 g/m² 91% Recycled Polyester / 9% Polyethylene Spectra® Ripstop with Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) Finish
- Upper Bib – 150D 62 g/m² 96% polyester / 4% elastane with non-PFC durable water-repellent (DWR) finish
- Kickpatches – 420D x 500D 235 g/m² 100% nylon with non-PFC DWR finish Membrane
FUTURELIGHT™ 3L – The nanospinning process used to create FUTURELIGHT™ fabric has allowed the brand to add unmatched air permeability into the membrane of a fabric for the first time. The process creates nano-level holes, allowing for incredible porosity while maintaining total waterproofness, letting air move through the material and provide more venting than ever before.

Hi! Are these insulated?

@kwasnyalicia There are 3 thin layers and would be a better outer shell, not thickly insulated. One would need to wear a layer or 2 under depending on how hard you are skiing/boarding. I can wear a base and thin fleece pants under mine and it’s perfect for a casual (very cold) ski.
