@kittykaili my waist measures around 26-28 inches so I fit into an XS pretty snug. It all depends on what type of fit you want. The biggest part of my belly is near the belly button which measures a 28.5 so at this time an XS would fit but XXS would be a struggle to get in. Hopefully that gives you a reference. What size are you looking to get?

@kittykaili welcome. Also when you measure, be sure to also find out your torso length. Most trainers are a medium fit so the length is anywhere from 11.5 inches - 12 inches. Torso length measurement goes from under your bust to your hip bone. You can also measure where you want your trainer to sit. Some don’t want it that high so you can also get a short one which measures 9 inches in length.

@beglambeauty so I measured and it seems I would need xs, but my area at the bully button measures 32. I have a dramatic curve 🤷🏻♀️. I wouldn’t mind either length; I measured and because my torso is longer either could work. This is very helpful for me as I’ve been interested in trying it out.

@kittykaili an XS size would fit but the first time that you waist train would be very hard to put on. You would have to get used to it. It does form to your body overtime and gets easier after a few days. If you measure a 32, try increasing your water intake. It could be water weight. Medium would be a looser fit in you, give you curves and back support but it wouldn’t be very tight.

@kittykaili usually when I put mine on, I raise it up and start closing it where I am the smallest and then as I close it more, I move it down and pull the waist trainer towards my hip bone. Best way to close it at first. The second option is to close while laying down but you need help with that one. What do you measure where you are the smallest?

@kittykaili you don’t measure your hips. You measure where you are the biggest. Usually it’s an inch or so near the belly button.

@kittykaili welcome. Normally when you measure for waist training they recommend just measuring your smallest part of your waist...BUT I did that once and I was recommended an XXS. I got it and then I couldn’t close it. It was too small. Out of frustration, I made my own. Boom! Problem solved.

@kittykaili I would go with the XS just to be safe. You can always flip the waist trainer and make it tighter. Where the tag is, that’s the top. Flip it upside down and have the tag be on the bottom. That would make it more snug. I lift heavy weights so my back is wide. Sometimes I flip it so I have more room on top. If you go with the XXS, it would be too tight and the hooks will come out.

@kittykaili yeah it sure does! That extra inch or so makes a huge difference. Next week I’ll be getting in more colors and patterns in an XS. The one I have here is more flexible and good for beginners. The flower one is a lot more sturdy and needs time breaking into like a new pair of shoes. Same quality as the black one I’m wearing. The pink and purple are more bendy. Still gives curves and flattens tummy but easier to wear.

I’m only 5’5” when I measured length I was like 9 3/4 10 “ this is why I am looking for another cincher staying away from over the the bust which little in the way of hips think short would be better ?

@missmonica630 This waist trainer is about 11.5 inches long. If you have a short torso, then when you sit, it will be uncomfortable and may dig into your hips. What you can do is hike it up towards your bust and wear a compression sports bra to make it more comfortable for you. I am 5'2 and my torso is 12 inches.
