NWT Nautica 3/4 Zip Sweater

NWT Nautica 3/4 Zip Sweater. Purchase this for my son and forgot about it... Ugh! Now he’s outgrown the size. Please see pictures. There are 2 lighter spots on the red knit. I can’t tell if it’s an imperfection in the yarn or what. It doesn’t appear to be a stain. Not super noticeable but noticeable. Perhaps it could be “spot-dyed”?
