The taupe colored glove can be layered with the deep purple (eggplant color) top layer, complete with thumb holes. These gloves do go up majority of the forearm--depending on the length of your arm. These gloves do not display a size but they fit me great and other gloves I am generally a medium. My measurement from tip of my middle finger to the bottom of my palm is approximately 6.75". the thumb and pointer fingers also have slits in them to expose your fingers underneath to be touch screen friendly.
