ggpingel are the holes on purpose? or tears?

manna1968 @ggpingel hi! The hole is not on purpose and could possibly be patched with some fabric taken from the seam. It’s a beautiful piece and not sure how the hole occurred. This top was purchased at a dosa sale in NY and was like this when it was taken out of the plastic packaging

manna1968 @ggpingel just an fyi, this is vintage fabric and it’s possible the hole was there before it was turned into a tunic and was overlooked in production
