NWOT Vintage Peridot, Zircon & Sterling Silver Necklace and Earrings Set

This is a vintage peridot and zircon necklace and earring set. This set comes from STAUER FINE JEWELRY. Each piece measures 5/8” long and 3/8” wide. Necklace chain for pendant measures 18”. ** The information below comes from the STAUER website ** Peridot’s history goes way back — 4.5 billion years back, to be precise. Considered one of the oldest precious gems, peridot crystals have been discovered on meteorites, remnants of our solar system’s birth. Still others form in the molten rock of Earth’s upper mantle, getting pushed to the surface during earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. These are the crystals that were first discovered around 1500 B.C., when Egyptian miners hunted for the gem all day and into the night, as the stone’s warm green glow allowed them to locate it even in darkness. This led them to dub peridot the “gem of the sun,” a fitting name for a stone as old as the sun itself. As always please buy responsibly and if you have any questions before purchase, please ask.
