Never worn, new from authentic design Size L The “Type A-2” leather jacket was standardized May 29th, 1931 and manufactured under contract until 1943 as the regulation Army Air Corps intermediate flight jacket issued and used until the end of WWII. Jacket features escape map detail - originally hand sewn into these jackets by pilots engaged in the European theatre of operations in the event they were shot down behind enemy lines and needed to navigate back to the safety of allied troops.
